Please help my at risk child from Sanford, ME find affordable help before its too late

Troubled teens are "at risk children" whose life has gotten out of control; they may be using drugs and alcohol, acting out in defiance, running away, and have dropped out of school. These teens may be getting in trouble with the law (underaged drinking, vandalism, or running away). An at risk youth may not be involved with any illegal activity, but still be considered "at-risk".  For example, a girl may be allowing her boyfriend to abuse her and not know which way to turn. A young man may have been sexually abused when he was younger and too ashamed to tell anyone. There are literally thousands of factors that would create an "at-risk-youth".

These struggling teenagers may have gotten mixed up in a suburban gang (gang wannabees) and they care more about the "acceptance" from their peers than they do about their future.  They know they are heading in the wrong direction, but don't care.  The acceptance of their peers are way too important. Troubled teens are any teenager who is involved in things that can ruin their life, or even end it. They may not even realize what shape they are in and that they need help.  At risk teens can be immature teenagers who are entitled.  Meaning, their parents have provided everything and the child is simply spoiled (demanding, selfish, self-centered, lazy, irresponsible).

Some at tisk teens may be involved with drugs, but not all at-risk youth are abusing substances. However, for parents - the more you know about what may be going on behind your back, the better prepared you will be to deal with your child's situation (preferably before it becomes a major issue). A lot of parents look at their child's outrageous behavior as a "phase" that they will grow out of... and its true, some teens do go through a short rebellious stage.  Unfortunately, most teens do not go through a phase without serious consequences.  If your child is "at risk", we can help you gind an affordable treatment intervention option.

Famous QuotesHe who has attained the freedom of reason to any extent cannot, for a long time, regard himself otherwise than as a wanderer on the face of the earth - and not even as a traveler towards a final goal, for there is no such thing. But he certainly wants to observe and keep his eyes open to whatever actually happens in the world; therefore he cannot attach his heart too firmly to anything individual; he must have in himself something wandering that takes pleasure in change and transitoriness. Friedrich Nietzsche
